Updated directions UI on Google Maps

Last week, we launched a redesigned "Get Directions" UI on Google Maps.

Major changes include replacing the modality dropdown with a set of button pills at the head of the launcher, and replacing the simple text boxes plus calendar icon with smart drop down boxes with "today" and "tomorrow" pre-filled options. These changes are intended to make common use cases easier to perform.

Add a touch of style to your maps

Today at Google I/O, we launched a new feature on the Google Maps API that lets you customize the styling of Google Maps to make it look pretty much however you want it to when you embed it on your website. Have fun!
